Keep us informed of future rallies and meetings to fight airport expansion. Is there a petition template? We could get the neighbors on 44th Circle and Way to sign it. What strategies can we use to work on the residents and representatives of the 5th district and the mayor?

Dear Rae Gabelich,
First of all, I apologize sincerely for making a fool of myself
at the April meeting. I debated about whether to contact you or
just disappear quietly, but the fear of an international airport is
so strong that I feel I must present a few ideas to you personally.
I don't know if you and others are planning on having additional
meetings, but if so I do have a few suggestions which you can take
or leave. (Don't worry: I won't attend or disrupt future meetings)!
My frustration and ensuing meltdown stemmed from the length
and concentration on the history of the airport, without presenting
much about the repercussions, inconveniences and dangers of an
international airport and not giving the130 people who showed up
enough suggestions as to what they could do personally to stop it.
The presentation was very professional and well-organized, but
I didn't have the feeling that people were inspired to get involved in
a grass-roots movement or in contacting others..
I realize that I lack credibility, but I would humbly suggest that
any future meeting could consist of 15 minutes of a brief history
of the airport, 15 minutes of the horrible consequences of having
an international airport and 15 minutes of giving the audience ideas
of what they could do to prevent it. That would also give the people
time for a Town Hall type of question and comment participation.
Sincerely, Robert Allen
P.S. Not to butter you up, but you looked fantastic - your hair,
your face and your persona were perfect.
